2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, WWF pins from 0060-0084

 

  1. Burundi, officially the Republic of Burundi, is a landlocked country amid the African Great Lakes region where East and Central Africa converge. It is bordered by Rwanda to the north, Tanzania to the east and southeast, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west; Lake Tanganyika lies along its southwestern border. The capital is Gitega, having moved from Bujumbura in February 2019. The NOC pins will be put into a foldable paper gift box.

Lake Tanganyika is the paradise for the beautiful fish, cichlid. Burundi made lots of cichlid stamps and now they have the pins of cichlid and the Olympic pin collectors can learn the beautiful fishes by collecting their pins. In 2019, Japan had a new Mikado, the emperor of Japan, with the era name of “令和” and “れいわ” or “Reiwa” in Roman words. So 2020 is the second year of Reiwa era.   1. Zambia, officially the Republic of Zambia, is a landlocked country in south-central Africa. Its neighbors are the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the north, Tanzania to the north-east, Malawi to the east, Mozambique to the southeast, Zimbabwe and Botswana to the south, Namibia to the southwest, and Angola to the west. The capital city is Lusaka, located in the south-central part of Zambia. The population is concentrated mainly around Lusaka in the south and the Copper belt Province to the northwest, the core economic hubs of the country. The NOC pins will be put into a flannel bag, on a plastic board.

It is bordered by Sudan in the west, Ethiopia in the south, and Djibouti in the southeast. The northeastern and eastern parts of Eritrea have an extensive coastline along the Red Sea. The nation has a total area of approximately 117,600 km2 (45,406 sq mi), and includes the Dahlak Archipelago and several of the Hanish Islands. Its toponym Eritrea is based on the Greek name for the Red Sea, which was first adopted for Italian Eritrea in 1890. The NOC pins will be put into a foldable paper gift box.

ERITREAN NATIONAL OLYMPIC COMMITTEE create a new logo for their NOC, and first used for African Games in 2019, Morocco.

  1. Cape Verde. Cape Verde, officially the Republic of Cabo Verde, is an island country spanning an archipelago of 10 volcanic islands in the central Atlantic Ocean. It forms part of the Macaronesia ecoregion, along with the Azores, Canary Islands, Madeira, and the Savage Isles. In ancient times these islands were referred to as “the Islands of the Blessed” or the “Fortunate Isles”. Located 570 kilometers (350 mi) west of the Cape Verde Peninsula off the coast of Northwest Africa, the islands cover a combined area of slightly over 4,000 square kilometers (1,500 sq mi). The NOC pins will be put into a foldable paper gift box.
